They are named after her: the first one is the Mehmet the Conqueror Mosque in Uskudar, and the second is the Mehmet the Conqueror Mosque in Edirnekapi (between 1562-1565 AD). The renowned Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan designed both mosques.
